Snow day #3

I just cant believe the storm that we had! It was so much fun, even working everyday that there was snow on the ground. I bundled up to do chores in the morning and had fun taking photos of  the farm with snow! I think its just pretty the way things look undisturbed and peaceful. I never really got to go out and build a real snow man or have a real snowball fight but we made up for it with the snow in the backs of peoples trucks.

So today at work Leonard comes in and most of his pickup is covered in snow! We joke and say there is enough snow to make a snowman. 20 minutes later I say, " Lets go make a snowman!" so thats exactly what we did! Made a snowman (and yes I was still clocked in!) He is the cutest thing ever! Sportin all IFA gear with a carrot from someone's lunch and stolen treats as the face and twigs from across the street as the arms. I think we did pretty good at what we had to work with! The day was pretty sunny so he sorta slouched a little. We transfered him into a shopping cart where he will spend the night ( if he makes it through ). It was a great day of  cold hands and lots of snowballs at the IFA Country Store.

I just cant believe its still snowing!!! 

It snowed in STG all day long, of course it was not sticking much anywhere. But still the whole day it was cold and snowing! I couldnt be happier, except for all the LAME people that think they cant drive in it! There is a thing as "too cautious" and that causes accidents! But Loved the snow day and hopes it continues more it makes it feel like christmas. I am just glad dad has been home the last couple of days to do chores!  

More New FRIENDS!

Just when life has you down thinking that there is nothing here ( In St George) for you life just chucks lemons at you! I have been going to line dancing every tuesday night for the past little while and been having a ball! Its a great way to let loose unwind and of course met new people! Its not the typical cowboy boots button up shirt line after line dance. Its great that all  types of people come and we learn new dances constantly and not only to country music. ( I feel like an advertisement!) Amber and myself have met a couple new people that we have been hanging out with lately. Its fun to mix up the people you play with and its always fun to meet new people! Who knew that you just had to go out and hope for the best to have a little fun! I have been waiting to post something until I had the photos but apparently our computer is broken so no photos yet! Stay tuned!

Fun New Friends

Sunday evening after I was just about to head into town for the fireside Amber called to see what I was doing that night. She informed me that there was no fireside and that I should go hang out with her instead at this random game night that we didnt know anyone. We thought it would be fun and a chance to meet new people! Boy, were we right. We met some fun kids, we played all the normal game night games and had the best of time. We ended up staying a lot later than planned but had so much fun we planned a bonfire monday night. We had about 10 sobe's that we drank so have sobe bombs and roasted mellows. It was fun to make new friends and I think it was a great time had by all.

Thanksgiving, Day after, and the day after that

This year in my family is considered the "on" year. Its the year everyone comes to St George for thanksgiving.  All my moms family comes, its like our family reunion. There was just over 100 of us this year with a few families missing. Thanksgiving day starts out with basketball then the feast with the talent show as entertainment. We clean up and have crafts for all the different age kids and volleyball constantly going until about 7. We all have something to participate in if its just playing with the kids or singing karaoke. Its a great time to have to spend with the entire family. Then there is always game night at the Larsons home. We play for hours, and hours our favorite card games you could say we are a little competitive.  Then on friday the day is spent for most women waking up early to go shopping then we all meet at the traditional day after movie. Usually Harry Potter or Work in the Glory but this year none other than Twilight. We had just over 40 of us that went. We also always participate in the Live Nativity out at Tuachan. That is another neat experience that are whole family can participate in. Saturday was spent with just my immediate family. We had our whole clan here, we made a trip to the temple to look at all the lights. Then went and got ice cream together. It was a typical family outing but we hardly ever get to do it while all the family is here in town. We had a lot of fun this weekend and made lots of memories with cousins and family. But my favorite part would have to be that my family was here, that the house was full of people and holiday cheer. Its a great way to kick off the holidays and cant wait for everyone to visit again!

Christmas Thoughts

                                                     

So, I just love christmas time!! I am just about all finished with all my shopping!!! I have turned all the radios that I have came in contact with to the christmas station about a week or so ago. Work, jeep, explorer, truck, house, every where you listen there is christmas music! I wish they had that station all year long! I have even put up my christmas tree down stairs. Its all cowboy and for buying decorations over a period of years, I must say it looks very well put together! I even have all the gifts  I have bought wrapped and under the tree as well!!! At worked we planned our christmas party today, and I am in charge of games because I accused them of being no fun! So I have been gathering ideas for group games all day.  I love christmas because of the time off work, the hot coco, the mistletoe, but most of all because our whole family is together while making ginger bread houses, playin nertz, and taking family photos! Its just a great time of year and it puts a smile on my face!  

Mid Life Crisis

I have to give myself props for being so courageous and concurring my fears ( with a lot of help from family pushing me in the right direction ). I never could have gotten through with out my family. My friends had all chosen sides and none of them were here to help me through. Who knew I could have had the support of my family the whole time, instead of trying to keep everything to myself. This mid life crisis has taught me a lot about life, friends, and sticky situations! I know the feeling of guilt, heartbreak, true love, friendship and relief. I only hope that this was my one and only crisis, I dont think I could really tackle something else quite like this. 

Peer Pressure.

Everyone is doing it. Come on, its the new thing. Okay, so I didn't really fall into peer pressure about getting a blog, truth is I just never saw me fit to need one. But I am coming up short on new fun ways to keep my journal. I figured I was always on or have access to a computer and I should keep my family posted on my life. So this is it, my first post. I am still trying to figure it all out on my own but by the looks of things I am going to have to ask a little help. So thats it, I am a BLOGGER!
