Christmas Moments

These moments of Christmas are not in order but nonetheless fun. First we have shooting christmas day. Jeremy KJ Orrin and I went out and tested Orrins new gun and had fun shooting Jeremy's shot gun. I need the most practice with the shot gun, I only hit one of like 12 clay pigeons. ( how embarrassing) Anyways it was soo much fun and duke even got to come along. At first he was scared and jumped right back into the jeep and watched, but after a while he got the courage to come out but stayed right by my side. Silly puppy.

This is Christmas day Papa had to work so we took it upon ourselves to take our games to the fire station. wether he wanted us there or not, he jumped in and played a game or two with us. We got some of the other firemen there to play too. We love our nertz and all our mormon games!

Christmas Eve: we as tradition never fails got pajamas. Everyone was home this year for christmas so we got all matching pj's. And the once a year (if lucky) we are all together we have to take family photos. So what better place then moms new fire place. Getting all of us to sit where told with all our wiggles was a challenge but we managed to get a few fun ones. Duke even made it into a few at the bottom!

Christmas Morning: Here is a few snap shots of some of us with our favorite gifts. We had a great spiritual and handmade christmas. I woke up at about 7:30 to a silent house. I cleaned up the kitchen and started breakfast, Mom came out and said Dad would be home for an hour at nine, Joshed appeared just before nine and KJ at nine. We headed downstairs to unpack the stockings while we waited for pa to show up. Everyone was awake just after nine and we had dad do his christmas while he was here. Jer and Les showed up shortly after 10:00 and we just had fun playin with our new toys we didnt unwrap the last present until noon. I think everyone got more then they asked for it was a great christmas with the whole family home!

I love the holiday season and I love all my family being home. I am thankful for this reminder of what is really important to us all. I am grateful for all our blessings that my family and I have witnessed this year. Thankful that we have another year to look forward to and hopefully learn and grow some more. Thanks 2009 for the laughs the cheers the tears, heres to 2010 for all the possibilities it hold!!!!!

Flames..

Well tonight as I was being on top of things was making the holiday mix to give to my co-workers for christmas gifts… and as the syrup came to a boil it boiled right outta the pan… I quickly moved it off the heat but it boiled over causing the sugar and karo mix to catch flame on the stove top! Me screaming and jumping around... “I dont know what to do.. I dont know what to do” Mom and Dad came running propbably because they smelt the smoke and mom told me to smother it.. so I grab a lid, and mom said get a bigger one so while I am digging for a bigger lid … the stove top is in flames mind you… finally we get it out open all the doors to let smoke out, but no worries the syrup is still good, I put it back on the other burner and boiled three minutes and poured it on the mix and was good to go. Stove is a little not new anymore.. but merry christmas.

MORE NFR

I just got some photos that my new friends took. We went dancing at Sams Town in Las Vegas after the rodeo. Here are a couple photos she took of us. It was soo much fun even if my face tells a different story sometimes... haha
( Sam, Jeff, Shae)
( I really didnt think I was going to die...)

(Pretty sure I just closed my eyes the moment he said "Trust me!")

We had so much fun dancing and getting to know the Wadman family. Thanks Randi for all the photos you took, they are great memories!

National Finals Rodeo

I had the opportunity to go down to Las Vegas with Shae, she came into some tickets for the final round of the finals. I was soo excited to go with her I just knew it was going to be a blast. It was more fun then I even imagined it would be. We both had to work saturday so we didn't make it to cowboy christmas which was probably for the better because we would have spent all our tuition money there. We got there a little early and decided to try to find free parking..which we were successful thanks to UNLV Institute parking lot. I couldn't help but have a smile on my face the whole time. Everywhere you looked there was a sea of cowboy hats. We bought some kettle corn and found out seats. We had great seats and sat by the nicest guy that offered to take our picture for us and let us borrow his program. After the intense and final round of the NFR we headed to Sam's Town for dinner at TGI Fridays (great spinach dip!) and do a little country dancing with the live band. We had a friend Jeff and his family that was staying there. We all had a great time dancing the night away! we pulled are selfs away to make it home around three AM! It was so much fun just to get away and what a better place then the NFR!!
