SURPRISE/rodeo/HOME

This past week was the BEST yet. I was having a rough Monday (aren't all Mondays a little rough) and Tuesday. It was particularly rough because I knew I got to go home Wednesday night after my shift at work, so of course they drug on and on. Well someone knew how to make this girl happy! Tuesday afternoon I look at the door to welcome the customer walking in and had to take a double then, triple take at the handsome devil walking into my store. It was SETH! I was so surprised I finished ringing out the customer and ran over to give him a hug!(maybe a little to tight of one, for a guy who just had surgery) Then another hug and then one more! I was so close to having a melt down. All these emotions running through me at once. I couldnt stop shaking, smiling, or staring at him! I had to say goodbye for about an hour while I finished work, the LONGEST hour of my life. We took a scenic drive around the valley, ate dinner of course taco tuesdays (college kids...) and hot tubbed with some friends. It was the BEST SURPRISE EVER!!!! It couldnt have came at a better time, actually any time I get Seth to visit without four feet of snow is the BEST EVER :) I am going to leave the part out that he was in Ogden buying a truck before coming to surprise me, and let you all think he drove just to make me feel special :) Okay, okay, I am special (not special ed) and he did come to Logan just for me! Aint I one lucky gal! I will take his visits any day.

Now to continue on the great week: I got to go home Wednesday night to be home in time for the Clark County Fair and Rodeo! Seth and I drove down to STG Thursday and met the parents and Cassidy for lunch (my favorite Pasta Factory) then drove down to watch the boys Muttin Bust!
All 3 of the Larson boys made it to the final round, so we got to watch them fall off twice! Trey won like $50 dollars between the two rounds, Lincoln like $30 and Colt like $20. Go Larson boys!!!
The Larson Family I think they are about the cutest kids ever! Cant find no cuter cowboys then them three :)
Seth and I down cheering for the boys: Seth got a little hands on back behind the chutes helping Jer with the kids. Seth and Jer even lent a hand in some sheep wrangling to get the show on the road.

We ended the night at the rodeo with friends that came down for it as well. Besides not feeling my best I think we had a great day people watching, cowboy cheering, and muttin bustin winning! The only thing that could have made that day better was if I felt good enough to have cotton candy! Best part of the fair is nachos and cotton candy :) haha

The week is not over there! We had loads more fun in Cedar for a few days, Wrestling match, bowling, ballroom dances, friends, Sunday dinner, roping, and even some dodgeball!

I am theeee worst at taking photos it seams. Here is the only one I have of me and Seth while in Cedar. Dont worry we had friends there too, I just cant prove it :)

I am SO SO thankful for the great weekend I got to have with friends and family. It was deeply needed and I didnt think it would be so hard to head back to Logan. I left at the very last second possible and I think I have drove Seth crazy asking when is the next time.

Thank you Seth for the surprise visit, making me feel special and for keeping me all weekend! Thank you family for not leaving me out and making my favorite sunday dinner!

I CANNOT wait for my next visit!

Retail 101

The past few nights working till close at my job has made me feel like I need to share some tips about retail DO NOTS.

*If you call to ask what time they close to find its in 15 minuets, DO NOT say I am on my way. No matter how close you live that is not enough time to get the things you need.

*If you walk in five minutes after the close sign DO NOT answer I am just looking when asked if there is anything we can help you find.

*If at 15 after they start shutting of lights, its a good sign the employees wanna go home to their families, not your que to yell that your still in there shopping.

*If asked while at check out 10 minuets after closing if you found everything DO NOT reply "No, I didnt have time to look around" (we have only been open 11 hours today with a smile of course)

*If you call to find we close sooner than you thought, DO NOT make the clerk do your quick shopping of ten things around the store and have them set outside for you. (we work retail, we HATE shopping)

*If you come to the door and its locked, DO NOT pound on it continually until someone appears to ask if they are closed, THEY ARE CLOSED. And, no even if you need just ONE thing we do not wanna open for you.

This is my two cents, it might be worth five cents with the YEARS I have in retail. There is many many more, but these are just the few about closing I witnessed the last while. I guess I should be happy I have a job, and happy I get paid by the hour, but honestly I am questioning why I am working in retail.

Fact is the customer is usually ALWAYS wrong.

Should Have....

knocked on wood after my last post. All I have to say is one word:

MIGRAINE

Boo you life ruiner.

This past weekend Laura and I went down to Ogden to shake our booties at the Outlaw with Shae. And shake them we did! Very well :)
This is at the end of the night, after we danced the last dance. Some of those poor boys, they had to be the WORST dancers EVER. But props for tryin haha.

Point of the story, I woke up sunday with a headache (went to bed sober might I add) that lead to a migraine. This is the part of the story we skip out on, no one wants to hear the sick part of it all. But the part we CANNOT skip, is the part where Laura the Goddess drives my sorry butt home. I am so so grateful she came down with us, not only for the ride, but because she always has the best attitude about EVERYTHING. And because she can shake that booty like none other! :) Thanks to Laura for being a good friend not only now that I am in logan but since our sisters told us we should be friends! ....... and for taking care of a sick girl.
