Summer Fun

Summer means lunch dates: Pasta Factory with my favorite little men! 

Summer means RODEOS, Seth and I at Cedar Summer Games rodeo.

Summer means Canning apricots, my favorite jam and my favorite time of year! 

Summer means Cabin time! Seth getting a lot of attention from the dogs at the cabin.

Summer means Sleeping in! 

The Proposal!!

 He did it!!! After two years of on and off dating he actually asked me to be his wife!!! I still cannot believe it! (2 weeks later) Do not ask me how I got him, sometimes I think its too good to be true! After you read this story you will think the same thing, wow what a guy! 

We were on our way home from moving me home from Logan, we were driving all day Saturday and were suppose to unload my stuff in STG on Sunday. So.... Sunday morning we are eating breakfast and he answers a call from Brady asking if we could run up the mountain to check gates. Brady said his dad wasn't sure he closed all of them.  Seth told him we could go we had some time to kill before we headed to STG. We unhooked the trailer and up the mountain for a little sunday drive we went. We got to the gate and it was locked up tight. Seth asked me if I wanted to go in and look at the cabin or the place Brady and Hayley got married. He must of known I would say yes so in we went! We went up to the wedding site and walked around a little bit. Seth said "his spot" was up a little further if I wanted to go to it. I replied "no, I didn't need to go, its your spot I don't want to ruin it!" He insisted we walk up there, that he wanted to share it with me. We started walking and I should have known something was up with how fast he was walking! I thought we were on a sunday stroll not a race! (I was totally clueless the entire time!) There was a tree that we had to duck under and he let me go first and I walked right into this bench!!!! 

I read it like three times and a  MILLION  things went through my mind... like OH MY GOODNESS IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING, what if its not for me! It has to be for me!  OH MY GOODNESS THIS IS HAPPENING!!!! I turned around to find Seth down on one knee to ask me to marry him! I had my hand over my mouth and I whisper "is this real life?"haha ( I am a dumb sometimes)  I said YES! Hugged him and kissed him and turned to my bench and just couldn't take it all in. He finally asked if I wanted to wear the ring :) 

Of course I wanted to wear the ring! Its perfect! He is perfect! This is REAL LIFE and I am loving it! 

I couldn't be any luckier than I am! I got the most thoughtful fiancée ever! He wood burned that bench that probably took him FOREVER and I get to keep it FOREVER! It was all so perfect I am totally okay waiting as long as I did :) (now) hehe He cant change his mind now, he was the one who asked me :) Ready or not Seth, I am going to Mrs. Seth Julian! Have I mentioned I am the LUCKIEST girl alive?! 

THE MOVE SOUTH

June 1st was my last day working at the Hyde Park IFA. It was such a bitter sweet day I didn't know which emotion to  have. I was so sad to be leaving that store and friends I have made over the past year and half but I was SO ready to be home and closer to my babe! Nate, brought home made cinnamon rolls made by grandma and they were SO delicious! The boss man bought everyone pizza for lunch because "apparently" it was the best may ever :) I think he did it just for me because it was my last day! :) 

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these girls. I don't know how I would have ever made it up there in Logan so far away from home and Seth if I didnt have these girls. They are truly the best friends and roommates any one could ask for! This is at olive garden (of course) for a going away dinner! 

Laura made me a cake! She is the absolute best friend a girl could have. She worked all day then rushed home to make a cake clean house and invite people over to party! She is the best host and had everything planned and it was all PERFECT!  

Seth came up to help me get all my "stuff" and move it home! He took me to work saturday morning and by noon he had EVERYTHING loaded including my car on the flatbed! I couldn't believe it. But, yet I could believe it, he is superman and thats one of the reasons I keep him around :) This is right before we loaded up to start our drive south! 

Okay, I hope you all can understand the amazingness of this gift right here. You know how I mentioned Laura did all the above, well she did this too! She is a super hero! BEST. GIVE. EVER. She printed off the directions off google maps to get me home to STG from Logan, turns out its 384 miles. So naturally they (roommates, seth, friends) wrote 384 reasons why they LOVE me!!! Who knew there was even 12 let alone 384! I couldn't get over how thoughtful this was! I totally read it like three times on my way home, giggling and laughing out loud at some of the reasons why they loved me! I have some great friends I left up there in Cache Valley! 

However sad I was to leave Logan, I am much happier to be home close to my family and man! It was a good move for me, however, I miss my Logan friends A LOT!!!!!!! ( how about y'all just move south too ?!)

Last Logan Adventures

May was my last month living in Logan. We got a new roommate Kailee to move in with us, and I am sad I only got one month with her! We had so much fun crafting, staying up late, singing country music  for the month. I love these girls and all our fun times together.

Richmond, UT is right up the road from Logan and heard they were having Black and White days. We ventured up the highway to have our first experience with the horse pulls!  I of course got cotton candy, its a sin not to get it when available :) I loved the horse pulls, I would go back for sure!

Seth has been wanting some overalls for a little while, I got some at work for him to try and I couldnt get him to take them off! He is in love with the bib overalls. Maybe I should find a pair that actually fits him :) He is still sexiest man I know even in the overalls! :)

Leaving logan, Laura and I tired to get in all the Utah State experiences one must have while attending school there. Which naturally meant aggie ice cream. I ate there more in the last month then  I have the past year and half I lived there :) Turns out its pretty good !

Couldn't help but post this, but this is what life is like living with this crowd. Laura saw someone throwing away a cool rug or something so of course that means we gotta go get it! The best part about us dumpster diving and 11 pm was we weren't the only ones! Our neighbors were in the one across the street looking for something they had thrown away. A little neighbor bonding time while rummaging through the dumpsters :) 

Spring has Sprung

Happy spring break to me! I was lucky enough to have a few days of in March to go home to what I thought was sunshine. I woke up in Cedar to this crap on my car. Snow just loves me so much it followed me all the way from logan to cedar city! yikes, how do I disappoint him, its not going to work out! 

But to brighten my spirits was this handsome lad. All the time in the world would not be enough time!

Also, I got me a new pair of kicks! I love them soo much I just might wear them to a wedding one day :)

This was just some of the fun I had while home, got to ride horses with my Papa and watch Linc rope his first cow! Seth was super nice and made the boys their very own roping dummy! Lincoln could not have been happier if it were christmas morning! Seth and Linc were outside until dark roping!

 Soaking up sunshine that I found in St. George!!!! Got dreamsicles for the kids (so naturally for me). I am not used to sunshine or warmth I had to take a break inside to stop sweating. haha TMI 

We celebrated a few March Birthdays at our house. Laura and Ashley's! This college is at Ashley's celebration party!

And this is Laura's day,which also happens to be saint pattys day! 

And this....this is what happens when Laura and I make a bet to buy the loser dinner at olive garden if we miss ONE class in a week. Thats right, we have a hard time making all of our classes during the week, so we made a bet to motivate us. I get notes on my car and mirror "mmm this olive garden gonna taste even better when its free" and " sammi, this. was. dumb. 7am Laura" HAHAHA and I couldn't even get up in time to get ready, I wore a hat 5 days straight.

 And thats the start of my spring if you can call it that here in logan we have seen 57 degrees ONCE! Its killing me not to have sunshine and warmth but I keep prayin it will come! 

January 2013

January started out cold for us... we made the first ever winter trip into the cabin. We had lots of warm layers and lots of family time up the mountain. My family recently purchased a snow cat and Seth has snowmobiles and  we borrowed a four wheeler with tracks and off we were to a fun and hopefully new tradition for our family. We played card games, rode the sleds, the four wheeler, drank LOTS of hot chocolate and watched a movie or two. Three days and two nights we spent with all five kids, we thought christmas wasn't enough time together!

We end January with Bri's birthday! 

Nothing better then a party platter of sticky fingers for bri! Side note, dont put candles in hot sticky fingers, the wax melts inside. But... it was still a fun idea! Happy birthday to my wonderful roommate! 

Its beginning to look like christmas

 We start December off with a trip to Wichita! The last five years its become a tradition to go help and see Josh's show Celebrate. This year we mixed it up by taking a day to tour a town called Yoder Kansas. Its a Amish community and soo cute! We ate lunch at this restaurant the "Carriage Crossing". The food was wonderful! As was Josh's show. He seems to outdo himself every year!

This is kind of blurry, but it was such a great idea, I had to post about it. Seth and I were in Spanish Fork for his families Christmas party. He surprised me afterwards and took me to this Festival of Lights. Its a drive through light show at one of the city parks up there you turn your radio to a specific station while your drive it. It was my first experience with the drive through lights and it was SO FUN. I loved it!! 

One Sunday afternoon in Logan, Laura and I decided to skip out on life, and build a snowman and build up a supply of snowballs. I am still not sure what came over me, as I made a snow angel in the freezing cold snow. But I will admit, we had lots of fun!

I couldnt wait for christmas so Seth and I did our christmas the night before christmas eve :) I know I know, but I was just soo excited! Here is Seths wrapping job it was perfect! Who knew electrical tape would save the day ! :) 

Caroling is a tradition Jan refuses to let die. Just when we think we got out of it, the boys asked to go. Its a neat service and deep down I am glad we do it even if we can never remember the lyrics to the songs and its really cold out side :) 

This was what I gave Seth for christmas! His very own authentic duster. I think he looks pretty handsome, now we just gotta pray for some rain so he can wear it :) 

Seth gave me my very own 380 hand gun! I was super excited and we went out shooting the next day and then the next.  I emptied 2 boxes  of bullets, and still wanna go out some more! He did pretty good, he sure made this girl happy! 

Not the best, but our annual Sammi and nephews photo. They are getting too big, but I sure love them!!!
